GTnutritions Back to Market Pulse

Market Pulse · Source-labelled context

Market context,
clearly labelled.

We publish a small set of relevant commodity references with the source, observation period, unit and commercial basis kept visible. These are market benchmarks for context—not GT Nutritions offers or quotations.

Methodology reviewed

Current published references

One view. No hidden basis.

Our initial feed uses the World Bank Pink Sheet’s monthly published averages. It can later add licensed delayed exchange data without sending visitors directly to an external market-data service.

The first source

Open data with a clear licence.

The launch feed uses the World Bank Commodity Price Data, commonly called the Pink Sheet. The dataset is public, updated monthly and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Its values are monthly averages rather than real-time exchange quotes. If licensed exchange values are added, every item will retain its named contract, native unit and stated delay.

What the benchmarks mean

Product, origin and basis stay attached.

Fish meal

Herring fishmeal, 64% protein, FOB North Germany.

Soybean meal

U.S. soybean meal, 48% protein, average weekly price, FOB Rotterdam.

Soybeans

U.S. soybeans, FOB U.S. Gulf.

Maize

U.S. No. 2 yellow maize, FOB U.S. Gulf ports.

Wheat

U.S. No. 2 hard red winter wheat, Gulf export price.

Freshness and continuity

When a source pauses, the interface says so.

Published means the source has issued the stated observation. Delayed or market closed will be used if licensed exchange data is added. Stale identifies a last-confirmed value older than its expected cadence. Unavailable replaces the number when there is no valid confirmed snapshot.

The website reads one small same-origin data file. Provider credentials and update scripts remain outside the public website, and a failed update cannot replace the last valid snapshot with malformed or empty data.

Commercial use

A benchmark is not an offer.

Displayed values do not represent GT Nutritions inventory, availability, grade, logistics, credit terms or a price available to buy or sell. A GT quotation is prepared separately for the requested product, specification, origin, destination, volume, packaging and delivery period.
